There are many different types of jobs a person could do in their lifetime; jobs that require different materials to perform the necessary duties. Long after the person has left the job, what remains are physical reminders of the trade, forgotten and discarded tools once vital now reduced to refuse and decay.

History dwells within these forgotten tools. A multitude of untold stories of their owner/s day

to day interactions of use, locations near and far traveled, and an immeasurable amount of

time passed. This series gives life to these objects once more; a new purpose, a new memory made, added to those that came before.

These photographs are made with the historical technique of cyanotype, one of the earliest forms of photography. They are printed on cotton cloth and displayed in wooden embroidery hoops.
